Eulogio and Paige - Villa San Crispolto, Canada

Dear Marco, I've tried to sit down on a few separate occasions and write out what our recent experience and time at Villa San Crispolto meant to my husband and I, and to our friends and family. Nonetheless I am at a loss for words but allow me to try and illustrate how truly fabulous this whole experience was. I had researched the possibility of being married in Italy a couple of years ago and by chance, through the wonders of Google I found your website. I had browsed through a number of wedding websites, but I couldn't let go of the idea of Umbria and a wedding in Cortona, no matter how fabulous the other sites appeared to be. Not only that, Villa San Crispolto struck a chord with me at first glance and nothing came close to that feeling afterwards. I've enjoyed travels to Italy many times, but even at that I wasn't entirely confident in planning one of life's greatest moments so very far away and completely in the hands of another person, who I'd never met. But I figured after reading the testimonials and speaking with you on a number of occasions, one of my life's 'greatest moments' was in the greatest of hands. And so the adventure all began while I sat at my desk, all the way in the cold and wintry west of Canada... It was a wild idea of having a destination wedding in the heart of Italy, which as we know is a VERY far ways from my home town in Calgary, Alberta. Not such a wild idea after all; it unfolded beautifully and with the greatest of ease. Each day in Passignano and Cortona were an absolute dream and flowed effortlessly. Effortlessly on my part because of your extraordinary planning capability and support staff. Throughout the entire process of planning, confirming, reconfirming, and eventually the day of the wedding, you and your staff were nothing short of being the most professional and dedicated individuals we had ever had the pleasure of working with. I have to say that every moment, even in the final planning session and rehearsal, was so enjoyable. I really believe that I am very organized and detailed person and you were not only able to keep up with me, but you surpassed my expectations and were able to answer every question and concern that I had in the days leading up to the wedding. You were always a few steps ahead of me. For your efforts, patience and grace I can only say thank you, Marco...grazie mille! With your immeasurable help and constant attention we were able to enjoy every moment and for that I am forever grateful. All in all it was more than a year and a half from the start of our emails, the planning, and finally the day I arrived in Passignano. After a very long journey from Canada to Italy we arrived at your restaurant to be greeted by Monica. Dearest, dearest, marvelous Monica! What a truly delightful lady you are. You were such a pleasure to work with and we really miss your smile and warmth! Such a darling and a fabulous assistant to Marco...we can't tell you how much all of your time and energy meant, especially having you there on our wedding day making sure everything to do with the reception was flawless. You are a charm! To Enrico for creating an absolutely fabulous meal...you are an artist! Every guest to this day is still talking about your masterpiece of a reception, especially the truffle crepes, the wine pairings and the exquisite mille foglie wedding cake. Hands down the most incredible reception! We are determined to return to Passignano and visit your ristorante. It is a real shame we weren't able to do so during the week and we will return! To Domenico for your artistry and incredible talent with a photo lense...we look through our photos all the time. The album is so rich and we have the most beautiful keepsake. You painted a picture with film. The entire day with you was magical and we were so comfortable with your candid style of photography. You let us be who we are and you captured the most wonderful and natural moments. For that we are most thankful! We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to you in working so brilliantly with Blayre on short notice. The two of you are such a creative team in the end and you managed to make the experience more than delightful. To Blayre, for the remarkable video that left us and many others in tears...you blew everyone away with your natural talent and unbelievable creativity. I am so thankful for that email you sent me earlier in the year; that was the greatest idea ever! We wish you a life time of trips back to Italy and all the success with your business. To Paolo and Francesca for creating the flowers I had envisioned and setting a beautiful ambiance for the reception. Everything was stunning and hydrangeas worked out marvelously! You worked closely with me through many emails and in the end we created the most wonderful bouquet and arrangements imaginable. To our trio of string instrumentalists and the wonderful music that gave me the goosebumps! Your musicality created a fabulous setting, punctuating each incredible moment and you were completely essential in creating such a classy affair. To DJ Alex for getting the party started and playing some funky beats. We wish it never ended! Everyone had so much fun with you and it was simply an awesome time! Thank you for playing our special requests...the dance party flowed perfectly! To Renata and her catering staff, we loved the incredible brunch you put together for us the day after the wedding. It was a terrific time to say farewell to all of our guests who travelled from so far away and having you cater the morning allowed us to enjoy our last few hours with everyone. The food was wonderful and kept coming out from the kitchen. It was fantastic to have you assist! Grazie... To the rest of Marco's team at the villa and the staff at Ciao Ciao...we all have something to learn from you and your never ending commitment to customer service and hospitality. Everyone was truly gracious, always had a smile on their face, greeted us warmly and were forever helpful. We've never come across anything like it travelling abroad and we can't WAIT to come back to Passignano. We fully intend on hosting a reunion at Villa San Crispolto for our families and friends at some point...we will all meet again, surely.
