Marco, before I start, I would like to thank you again, on behalf of my wife Sandra and me for a terrific time with you and your staff.
We started our journey when Sandra told me she had found the perfect place for our wedding and when I seen it for myself I was only too happy to agree with the location especially after seeing the Villa. As time passed we came closer to our date all the while completing the eight step planner .You were so helpful as some of the things we didn’t understand and you were always at the other end of the phone to gladly assist us in our every need and also to advise us on different options that we were unfamiliar with. When we arrived at the Villa, Michele was waiting to get everyone settled to their rooms’ .As soon as everyone was settled, we had time to take in the scenery and have a look around the Villa. Amazing is what the over all feeling was. The Villa Baroncino is a hidden jem, tucked away in the rolling hills of Umbria, surrounded by olive trees and the gardens are an absolute credit to you, and they compliment the villa perfectly. We had a few days to unwind before any preparations for the ceremony and so we headed for Perugia, while other members of the group headed for Rome and my two close friends headed for Ciao Ciaos and had the time of their lives mixing with the locals Massimo was always on hand to drop people off to Ciao Ciaos or other locations of their choice and even though he had little English we somehow understood each other, he’s a lovely man. Two days before the wedding we went to Cortona to do our legal documents and the following day we did the practice run in the cathedral, which is a magnificent piece of architecture.
The big day arrived and this was it .All the planning and phone calls legal documents, practice runs, all came down to this. Woke up fairly calm can’t speak for Sandra but I am sure that’s to be expected from a bride on the morning of her wedding. Stefano arrived and started snapping straight away .Everyone was in high spirits as the bus arrived to take us of to Cortona, leaving the girls to follow in the Hillman. We arrived to the cathedral and the musicians were warming up with the opera singer and the sound was beautiful. When Sandra arrived looking beautiful and Chi Mai started to play I was amazed. Marco you stayed through the ceremony and made us feel it was all under control, which it was .Afterwards myself and Sandra headed off to get photos taken in different locations. We even had tourists taking photos of us on the steps of the town hall; we were like movie stars for the day, before returning to do some final photos in the rose gardens and beside the fountain. We then headed for the marquee for refreshments and the meal while the musicians played Ennio Morricone. Enrico is a passionate man and it shows in the food he prepared for us .Everyone still talks about his food and maybe that is why we spent many days and evenings in his restaurant in Passignano. I personally love the whole Italian thing in restaurants when you have experienced older men serving food at the tables, it just seems very Italian Dj Alex was great, and played all the songs we requested, plus he’s just a nice guy. A fantastic day was had by everyone .Stefano has taking fantastic pictures; our only problem is choosing what photos to put in the album.
Marco, as I said before, I will return to Italy, and walk the cobbled streets of Cortona again .It is a beautiful little town with winding streets and quaint little restaurants hidden in archways. You have made our wedding not only special, but an experience of a lifetime and for this we talk you sincerely. I feel not only did I get a wife, but also a friend in you Marco. So leave you with this, thank you again Marco, your staff are amazing. We will always speak fondly of our time with you in Villa Baroncino and the excellent job you do planning weddings in Italy. Marco I hope you understand if there was any other words I could use I would, as I find it hard to express our experience, it’s like a distant dream that you never wanted to end
Thank you so much
Alan and Sandra
