Words cannot be put down on paper or said that will be anywhere near to the gratitude we owe you for organizing our Week at Villa San Crispolto. From Day 1 when Yvonne found the Villa on the internet we knew that this is where we wanted to go to get married but could not imagine how beautiful in real life it was. To be honest we saw the pictures at first on the internet and were amazed. This could not compare to seeing the villa in real life.
The organization started some time ago now where you opened up step 1 for us and we were so excited at the prospect of being in control of organizing our wedding and having your assistance doing so. Each of the steps that were subsequently opened for us to complete were in so much detail that it left nothing toquestion. This was excellent as with us being so far away we had to leave this in your hands and what safe hands they
were.
Once we had finished the final step we knew that we did not have long to go and could not wait to come over and spend our week in the villa and get married in Cortona.
From us coming up the drive to actually walking up the path to the villa was breathtaking and the gardens were immaculate. All of the rooms were so clean and restored as much to natural beauty as possible. We could go on and on about the quality of the rooms but that is just 1 little detail in the whole scheme of things.
After being there for a short time you came and met us along with Monika. This is where everything finally came together. You covered every step again in full detail which enabled us to relax a little as we werepanicking that we still had lots to do. The details are what mattered having the caterer come to speak with us about the wedding reception meal helped as he went through the menu with us again to ensure we were happy with every course and how he would cater for the vegetarian menu's. The run through of what was to happen on the wedding day again gave us better understanding of what was ahead. Everything was in so much detail that we could then enjoy the week ahead.
We spent most of the days by the pool and nights either at the BBQ or on the terrace as the views were breathtaking and in such a peaceful and relaxing area. We had a day of Wine tasting which was hosted magnificently and added another authentic Italian feel to the week.
The Wedding day itself went so well from the organization of the Bus for the guests and the Car for Yvonne were all on time. Your translation at the Town hall was superb and we are so glad that it was yourself that completed the translation rather than a stranger as we felt that we at least knew and trusted yourself.
Through the day wedding day we had pictures taken by Domenico which are fantastic they have captured the day perfectly again this is someone recommended by yourself.
After we got back to the Villa we had canapés at the pool with the String Trio playing in the background. This felt so romantic and added a classic feel to the day. Then to the reception in the Marquee. The meal was exquisite with more than enough to fill us for 2 or 3 days not just 1 day. The disco that was provided went down really well as he played song after song and took requests from All the guests. If he didn’t have the song and it was on an IPod or MP3 player he just plugged it in and played it. He also downloaded a few songs we asked him for.
We partied away through the night and this was such a perfect Day from start to finish.
The next day everything was taken away by the caterers and we could enjoy the remainder of the week in the villa.
We wanted our last night to be special and we came over to visit you at your restaurant with all our guests. It came as no surprise to us that it was well organized with Excellent food and atmosphere we were treated like family and thoroughly enjoyed our night.
We want to finish by expressing our upmost gratitude for everything you and Monika did to make our stay the most wonderful and special time imaginable. We could not recommend enough your Villa and to be honest Everything that goes with it. Anyone who wants an authentic Italian Wedding should choose yourselves as everything was done to perfection.
